How does your product use or challenge conventions and how does it represent social groups or issues?

We emphasize the kids in our school more in this radio broadcast. This radio program primarily targets the 11th and 12th grade Regents students at our school. In light of this, we finally performed a poll in which we sought the opinions of 11th and 12th grade Regents students on what they believe about radio broadcasts, how frequently and how much they enjoy them, as well as on what they like and dislike the most. radio program This is done in order to clearly target our audience and complete the next phase, which is to correctly produce this radio program in accordance with the interests of the people we have targeted.

According to survey results, the majority of students in grades 11 and 12 enjoy listening to K-Pop and Pop music. Some of them also enjoy listening to Hip Hop music, so we chose to use that as the basis for the concept of our radio program. The majority of them enjoy popular tunes performed by recent celebrities. The song "Hype Boy" by Newjeans was chosen for our radio show session for this reason as well because it is thought to have a fresh new color due to the development in terms of concept to the strains of the song which leans slightly towards the RnB genre so that it is considered not boring and enjoyable to listen to.

We settled on talking about what had just occurred or would soon occur at school as our topic of conversation. We concentrate on a topic that's getting a lot of attention from students right now and offer our viewpoint. Based on our prior findings, we also expressed some students' aspirations on the subjects covered. Additionally, we picked a subject that is not only being discussed and debated in the larger community surrounding us, but is also being discussed outside of the school.

In the advertising we submit, we advertise one of the canteen stalls at our school as well as the numerous foods and beverages that are offered to both students and instructors. We are more concerned with the types of food that are frequently offered as well as a few types of snacks that the school community still does not pay enough attention to.

How does your product engage with audiences and how would it be distributed in real media text?

In particular, teens in our school of all genders are the target audience for our own radio project, which is aimed at young people. According to a poll we did, the audience's top two song genre preferences are K-Pop and Pop, thus we specifically target youngsters who enjoy listening to these genres of music. Based on survey findings and our own observations, we can also say that students at our institution are more likely to be interested in new musicians because they believe they will be able to expand their musical interests and have original ideas as opposed to K-Pop artists as a whole.

This is based on one hypothesis, the Jay Blumler and Elihu Katz “Uses and Gratifications Theory”, which takes an approach to understanding why and how people actively seek out specific media to satisfy specific needs. From that philosophy, "personal identity" and "diversion" are components that can be associated with this project because our radio show seeks to be a diversion for our audience who have had a tiring and active day by providing fascinating and currently popular topics. Music that seemed to instantly ease the audience's fatigue was being debated among the general public.

Since our school is a private institution that follows an international curriculum and employs English as the primary medium of instruction and communication with students on a daily basis, our radio program focuses more on kids in middle and high school who are from lower socioeconomic statuses. Our radio show also firmly targets the moderate to middle- and upper-class demographics due to the higher tuition costs than other institutions in Indonesia and the lifestyle of the students, particularly the kids who are more than capable.

How did your production skills develop throughout this project?

I have gradually enhanced my editing abilities thanks to this radio show endeavor, and I have gained a lot of audio editing knowledge. jingles, sound effects, and other things to begin with. Before incorporating it into the audio editing process for this project, I even did some study and tried to practice it first.

I was tentative and a little terrified when I first started this project, especially during the editing stage as that is where I fall short the most. I had even more skepticism about the project's success because I knew nothing about audio editing tools. However, as time passes, I feel better and am more knowledgeable than previously about audio editing software.

How did you integrate technologies - software, hardware and online - in this project?

I'm using a few of the phone applications I've downloaded for this radio broadcast endeavor. Pro Audio Editor, Voice Changer, and Big Button Sounds are a few of the programs. Since I trim, merge, and mix using the Pro Audio Editor application, I utilize it the majority of the time when editing. I use the Voice Changer app to make my radio jingles and the Big Button Sounds app to make audio jingles for the news segment.
