Research - branding

This is my research for branding that specifies the meaning and representations of several artist's logo, albums, and their social media branding. 

Reflection: Researching my brand is really important for my music video project. It helps me come up with ideas that match who I am and what my fans like. It also makes sure that my video stays true to my style and stands out to keep my fans interested. Basically, it helps me make a video that really shows who I am and keeps people watching.

Original logo

The BTS logo is a distinctive emblem representing the initials of the group's name, formed by stylized versions of the letters "B," "T," and "S." It incorporates geometric shapes like rectangles and circles, utilizing negative space creatively for a visually intriguing effect. The logo is commonly rendered in monochrome, often in black or white, ensuring versatility and easy recognition. Evolving over the years, the current design is sleeker and more refined, reflecting BTS's growth as a group. Its adaptability allows for seamless application across various contexts, from album covers to merchandise. For fans, known as the ARMY, the logo holds emotional significance, symbolizing their connection to BTS. Universally appealing, the logo's simplicity contributes to its recognition and success as a brand symbol, transcending cultural and linguistic boundaries. Overall, the BTS logo is a well-crafted representation of the group's identity, embodying their journey and the bond they share with their dedicated fanbase. 



Album #1: Love Yourself: Answer
The album cover for BTS's "Love Yourself: Her" exudes a sense of elegance and introspection through its minimalist design. Their branding is characterized by consistent profile pictures, cover images, and color schemes, ensuring instant recognition. Actively interacting with their fanbase, BTS shares a diverse range of content, including photos, videos, and messages, offering glimpses into their personal lives and creative processes. They adopt a multilingual approach to accommodate their global fanbase, often posting in both Korean and English. BTS strikes a balance between polished, professional content and candid, personal updates, allowing fans to connect on a deeper level. They effectively utilize features like Instagram Stories and live streaming, and strategically employ hashtags to engage in global conversations and promote their music.
